Tiptoe Cottage overview

Tiptoe Barn provides a perfect peaceful retreat, whether tucked up with a good book, soothed by the gentle fall of water into the garden pond, watching for wildlife in the garden (birds, rabbits, squirrels and even occasional deer), dining al-fresco on the patio, or gazing at stars in the warmth of the chiminea.

A modern conversion of an original  barn, the charming cottage has its own enclosed patio garden and shared use of the main garden and woods.

The name Tiptoe reflects that the private woodland is carpeted with wild flowers – and at times it is hard to avoid stepping on the many celandines, daffodils or bluebells as you wander at will.

For further relaxation, chill out with private use of the indoor hot tub (located in annex to main house).

The newly refurbished and stylishly decorated interior has a cosy cottage feel, yet is modern and well equipped, with washing machine, wifi and satellite TV. See Cottage Details.

Sleeping two to three between a double and  additional sofa-bed. There is a shower room.

Sorry, but we do not take pets, and please be aware that the garden pond may not make the property suitable for toddlers.

Conveniently located at the head of the Looe valley in SE Cornwall, close to main roads and walking distance from Liskeard rail station. Choose how you will spend your days - on the beach at Looe, walking the coastal path to Polperro and Fowey, or enjoying the grandeur of Bodmin Moor; cycling on the Camel trail, visiting the Eden Project or NT properties at Cotehele and Lanhydrock; all within 30 minutes drive. A little further afield but equally accessible by car or train - go shopping in the historic maritime centre of Plymouth, surfing on the north coast beaches or dining at Padstow.
